ROSS MATTON

Director and Physiotherapist

Master of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Exercise Science

Ross has practiced in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for 9 years now, in both private practice and public hospital outpatient services. At the end of 2020 he decided to pursue his own passions and vision for what physiotherapy could be, founding Seaport Sports and Physiotherapy.

His core idea is trying to 'level the playing field' for his clients, and share as much understanding of their condition as possible, including using manual therapy as an education tool, not just to ease symptoms.

He also believes that strength and conditioning principles are for more than just athletes and are relevant to all musculoskeletal injuries.

Particular areas of interest include neck pain and headaches, back pain, injuries to the shoulder and ankle, and rehabilitation of painful tendons.

Ross is also a trained Vestibular Physiotherapist, treating dizziness and balance disorders related to post-concussion syndrome or inner-ear disorders.

Meet Zoe, our receptionist who is a dedicated mother and a friendly face for our clients. When she's not at work, she spends her time with her family and is involved in many running events throughout the Launceston community. As a mother, Zoe understands the importance of creating a warm and welcoming environment, and she brings that same energy to her role as our receptionist.

She is always eager to greet our clients with a smile and make them feel comfortable and valued. Outside of work, Zoe enjoys adventures and exploring new places with her family. She also enjoys staying active and healthy, and she often incorporates her son into her workouts. They go for walks together, have climbed many of the Abels in Tasmania and hope to continue ticking those off the list. She believes in the importance of setting a positive example for her son and instilling healthy habits from an early age. So next time you visit our office, be sure to say hi to and ask her about her latest adventures, she'll be more than happy to share stories.
